About me
I’ve spent the last 21 years working in education and have been fortunate to serve in a variety of roles along the way. I began my career as a middle school math and science teacher, a position I held for 14 years. I then spent three years as the District Math Coach and District Assessment Coordinator. Over the past four years, I have served in several district leadership roles, including Director of Federal Programs, District Assessment Coordinator, CTE Coordinator, Professional Development Coordinator, Gifted and Talented Coordinator, and Director of Community Education.
Education & BackgroundI earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a Master of Science in Exercise Science/Cardiac Rehabilitation from Marshall University. After working for 10 years as an exercise physiologist, I returned to school at Morehead State University, where I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching (Grades 5–9 Science and Math) and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership.
PersonalI’ve been married for 29 years and have two wonderful daughters and a fabulous son-in-law.
